Tonight, Glamville Magazine is thrilled to be attending the exclusive preview of Edinburgh Cocktail Week 2024, a festival that promises to raise the bar—literally—on what it means to celebrate cocktails. With an array of new features, from a Bridgerton-inspired Champagne Lounge to a first-ever non-alcoholic bar, this year’s event is bigger, bolder, and more inclusive than ever.
What to Expect: Highlights of Edinburgh Cocktail Week 2024
Cocktail Village Expands: The festival’s iconic Cocktail Village at Festival Square will host a record 24 pop-up bars, showcasing an eclectic mix of both international favorites and local gems. Expect standout cocktail creations from brands like El Jimador Tequila, Malibu Rum, and newcomers like Bumbu Rum and Au Vodka. Attendees with wristbands will enjoy £5 cocktails all week long.
Inclusivity at the Forefront: A major addition this year is the introduction of the No & Low Bar, a dedicated space for non-alcoholic cocktails. With brands like Everleaf and Seedlip leading the charge, this innovation reflects a growing demand for mindful drinking. Half of the 100 participating bars will also offer non-alcoholic alternatives, making it clear that Edinburgh Cocktail Week is catering to everyone.
A Touch of Regency: Fans of Bridgerton, prepare to be transported! The festival will debut a Bridgerton-inspired Champagne Lounge within the Cocktail Village. Sip on PIAFF Champagne as you indulge in a high-society setting, complete with scones and cream for the ultimate genteel experience.
A Citywide Celebration: 100 Bars Join the Party
This year, 100 of Edinburgh’s trendiest bars will join the festivities, each offering an exclusive £5 Signature Cocktail. Among the new participants are chic venues like Tattu, Freddy’s, and Kaleidoscope at The Scotch Malt Whisky Society. Meanwhile, festival favorites such as The Dome, The Alchemist, and Tigerlily will return with their unique concoctions, ensuring there's something for every palate.
Prestige Cocktails and Interactive Experiences
For those looking to elevate their cocktail experience, the Prestige Cocktails series offers exclusive creations at £9, available at select venues like Panda & Sons, The Bon Vivant, and The Register Club. These masterfully crafted drinks are perfect for those who want to taste the best of what the city’s top mixologists have to offer.
And it’s not just about sipping. This year, festival-goers can take part in exciting new activities. Try a rooftop dance class at SKYbar Edinburgh with non-alcoholic cocktails in hand, or indulge in gin and whisky masterclasses hosted by Eden Mill.
